Going to Apple Hill has become somewhat of a tradition that equates to the beginning of autumn in my mind. As soon as October rolls around I want to be there, basking in the autumnal sunshine looking at the abundance of apples and pumpkins galore with family and friends. It makes me think of Thanksgiving and all the festivities that I’ve adopted here in the U.S with my in-laws. Speaking of, I know another visit to Apple Hill around Thanksgiving is on the cards and I’m very excited at the thought. After all, who doesn’t love golden leaves, apple orchards and the smell of cinnamon donuts wafting through the air?!A few weekends ago, I knew we would be in the area to celebrate two of our close friends getting married, and so I mentioned to my friend Alex that I would love to bring her along. We had spoken about apple picking before so she was more than happy to come along for the ride. There are more than 50 ranches, bake shops, and even wineries in the area which can seem a bit overwhelming at first, but once you find your favorites you are set, and these will soon become your regular go-to’s when visiting Apple Hill.Alex and I decided to embrace the cheesy photo opportunity here:
What’s your favorite activity this time of year? I’d love to hear about it, feel free to share in the comments!
