Today brings about the first day of fall – it’s the Autumnal Equinox and I couldn’t be happier! This time of year feels like a chance to approach the season with a fresh pair of eyes as the crisp wind rolls in and the leaves start to turn. Since moving to California I have started to fully embrace the seasons – something that doesn’t always seem possible back home in the U.K due to the unpredictable weather.
I’ve been wanting to attempt a lavender tea latte for a while, and today seemed like the perfect day to give it a go. I used a recipe from The First Mess.
Here’s the recipe: Lemon and Lavender Tea Latte
- Carrot ginger muffins (I switched up the carrot for apple)
- I finally got round to finishing Atonement this week – Ian McEwan’s writing style gripped me and I can’t wait to discover more from him
- Snow by Angus & Julia Stone – ‘Big Jet Plane’ was on repeat back in 2010 and nothing has changed for me with their new album – Oakwood, Snow, and Nothing Else are my current favorites
What have you been enjoying books/music/food wise this week? I’d love to know!
